Nothing says Summer like sweet corn, tractor pulls and camping. "Huh?" you might be saying to yourself. That doesn't sound like Megan. Sweet corn, yes, but tractor pulls and camping? No way! And you'd be right. :) I'm not turning into a country girl quite yet, but seeing as how we live in a pretty small town, some things just go with the territory... such as tractor pulls. I've still never slept in a tent in my life; I left that adventure to Maddox and Scott :)
Cecelia has become a huge fan of sweet corn. She gnawed and gnawed on that cob until there was nothing left, and then threw a tantrum when we took it away from her.
We made the short drive to Mazomanie Friday night for the River Rumble Tractor Pull. The tractors were loud, and the kids had fun, but we only lasted a little while in the heat. As a bonus, Maddox got to reuse his Monster Jam earphones :)
Ever since Maddox saw the tent Scott used for Eric's bachelor party, he's been asking to camp. We once again borrowed the tent and sleeping bags from Uncle Shaun, and Maddox and Scott camped out in our backyard Saturday night (while I slept peacefully in my cozy, comfortable bed inside). No camping trip is complete without s'mores!
Maddox (and Blanket) are ready for a night under the stars:
Hope everyone else is having a great summer as well!
