Pierced

Cece faced her fears and took the plunge to get her ears pierced a few weeks ago when we were up in Rice Lake visiting the Weimerts. 

Whenever I had asked her in the past if she wanted her ears pierced, she said No because it would hurt. In July, her best friend, Aubrey, got hers pierced, so I think Cece was a little more eager to do it after seeing Aubrey's earrings. 

When we were up in Rice Lake, Jessie's girls, Lauren and Ella, both have their ears pierced and they told Cece it only hurt a little bit, so Saturday, the girls all went to Claire's at the Rice Lake mall to watch her have it done.

Luckily, there were two workers so they were able to do both ears at the same time: 

She was very brave and didn't cry, but she sure looked like she wanted to. I looked into her eyes at this point (with tears in my own eyes), and told her it was ok to cry...

...but then they showed her the mirror, and she was all smiles:

She picked out pink glittery hearts.

She did great and she loves her new earrings! Whenever she saw someone afterwards, she showed them her earrings and said, "I got my ears pierced and it didn't hurt!"
