We joined Cary and Kelly and Shaun and the kids for a weekend up north in Cable, WI a couple weeks ago. Despite the long five hour drive, it was nice to get away and relax for the weekend. The kids had fun playing with their cousins and staying up late goofing around in the bedroom they all shared.
The fishing was really good. Everyone caught something and we were able to do it right off the dock. Maddox ended up catching 13 bluegills.
In addition to all the fishing, there was canoeing, rafting, a campfire with s'mores and swimming in the lake. Saturday morning started out a bit chilly, but we ended up having beautiful weather by the afternoon and on Sunday.

Thanks for the opportunity for us to get away for the weekend, Cary and Kelly! Everyone had a great time! It would have been even more wonderful if our van hadn't decided to break down four hours into our five hour drive home! Props to Amber for driving all the way to Wisconsin Dells to pick us up - it's no fun waiting with two tired kids for two hours for a tow truck :P
