We took Maddox to his first Brewers game a couple weeks ago. We went with our friends Pat and Amber and Henry as a belated Father's Day outing. Cecelia stayed back with our neighbors and had her own all kinds of fun while we took in a Brew Crew game in Milwaukee.
It poured rain most of the way their and delayed our tailgating. When it stopped raining, the sun came out and it got hot. Like really, really hot. Like "I don't want to eat and I have to put ice cold water bottles in my shirt and please get all these grills away from me" - hot!
After some quick tailgating and getting over the heat, we made our way inside the stadium. We had good seats about 27 rows up off third base. Only problem with that is the dome was open and we happened to be facing west for the 3:00 game which meant the sun was on us the entire time.
We had to resort to rubbing ice all over our heads to keep cool ;)
We brought our gloves in case any foul balls came our way, and quite a few actually did, but not quite within our grasp.
Maddox had a great time and did really well paying attention to the game. It helped that it was a pretty exciting game with lots of hits and a few home runs.
There's Bernie!
Going, going, gone! Home run!!
