Monster Jam!

This past weekend, one of Maddox's wildest dreams came true: he got to go to Monster Jam! For reference, here's a picture of Maddox playing with some of his Monster Jam monster trucks. He's pretty much obsessed, and I'm a little embarrassed to say he has about 60 of the trucks. He's knows the names of all the trucks and also knows the names of many of the drivers. 

Scott scored tickets to the show at the Metrodome in Minneapolis months ago, and on Saturday, Maddox, Scott, my dad, Eric and Susie all went for a day full of monster truck madness. 

The afternoon started with the Pit Party, where you could line up to take pictures with the trucks and meet the drivers.  

 On any given day Maddox might have a new favorite truck, but it's pretty safe to say that his all-time favorite is Grave Digger:

 The lines to meet the drivers were pretty long, so Maddox only had his picture taken with 2 of them. In an ironic twist, the driver of Monster Magic was the winner of the racing portion of the show. He even autographed Maddox's checkered flag!

 The infamous monster truck tire earphones. I'm told Maddox wore them from the time he sat down until he got back in the van after the show:

It sounds like everyone had a great time, especially Maddox. He's already asking to go back.
