We had a fun, full house last week when my dear friend, Jessie, her husband, Dan, and their 2 kids, Lauren and Ella came to visit for a few days. We spent Wednesday night and all day Thursday just playing. Correction: Lauren and Ella spent that time trying to play with Maddox's toys while Maddox told them "No!" to just about everything and stole back every toy they managed to get their hands on--poor girls. Friday we decided to be adventurous and take the kids to the Children's Museum in Madison. Scott was at work, but we thought we would be brave and it wouldn't be too bad with 3 adults and 4 kids under 3 years of age, but I think we thought wrong. There's no pictures of us at the museum for obvious reasons; it was a tad bit chaotic. I consider it a success that I only almost lost Maddox once and we all got out of there alive. I think the kids managed to have fun though. It makes me sad that we live so far away from Jessie and her family; I wish we could spend more time together. I love this picture. Lauren's face encompasses the feeling I'm sure she felt the entire visit: "Maddox, why won't you share with me??"
