Oh, Cecelia

So what has our little three year old been up to? She recently had her three year pictures taken by the extremely talented Jolene at Arbor Photographics in Mt. Horeb. I'll use a few photos she shared with me to highlight Cecelia's updates. 

Done with Diapers!

Cece was fully potty-trained right around the first of the year. While still a little later than I anticipated, she beat her brother by about 8 months :P

Little Princess

Cecelia loves princesses: Cinderella, Belle, Ariel, etc. She loves to dress-up like them, play with them, and color them. 

All Dressed Up

She is fully independent when it comes to getting dressed and undressed. She has even figured out buttons! She is such the opposite of Maddox in this regard. I still have to pick out his clothes for him, and he truly doesn't care what he wears, but Cecelia on the other hand, has more of an opinion. She loves to wear dresses, and she often changes her underwear several times a day. It's not unusual for her to be wearing multiple pairs of pajamas with a princess dress overtop and some random socks she picked out. 

Brotherly Love

Cecelia loves Maddox. She will gladly follow his lead and do (almost) anything he asks her. Thus, it breaks my heart when I hear him tell her he doesn't like her and doesn't want to play with her, because she really does adore him. Although he says he doesn't want to play with her (and is mean to her 75% of the time), there are those rare moments when they play so nicely together and are giggling and having so much fun.

Little Miss Chatterbox

Cecelia talks...a lot. She is very similar to Maddox in that regard. They both talk non-stop. She's outgoing just like him too - not shy to walk up to strangers and talk to them. 

Like Mother, Like Daughter?

We think she may be left-handed. That would make me so happy! She definitely favors her left hand when eating and coloring. Yay! Someone else in the house to commiserate with when the scissors fail and my left hand is smudged with ink :)

Bouncing off the Walls

Cece tries to do everything her brother does, so she's taken to jumping off of everything lately. They like to play Wipe Out together, and we have the ruined couch to prove it! Besides taking swimming lessons, she also recently started gymnastics classes, and she loves it! Now, in addition to the jumping off the couches, she has added "flips" to her repertoire.

Beautiful, Inside and Out

Cecelia really is beautiful. She is loving and caring and empathetic. She gets cuter by the day, and we love her to pieces!
